How CompuTourz collects, uses and protects your personal data. Last updated 11/10/2026.
1. Who we are
This website, computourz.co.uk, is operated by Michelle Henry, trading as CompuTourz, based in Kent, England. We are the “controller” of your personal data under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, providing IT and computer science training and resources to schools in Kent and Jamaica.

2. What we collect, why, and our lawful basis

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children through this website. Please do not send us pupil names or other pupil details through the contact or booking forms.
3. Analytics and cookies
We use Matomo, self-hosted on our own server. No visit data is shared with Google or any other third party. Matomo records anonymised information such as pages viewed, approximate location (country only, from an anonymised IP address), and device and browser type. Matomo itself does not collect your name or email address; details you submit through our forms are handled separately, as described above.
We use a consent banner to record your cookie choices, and Matomo may set a cookie to measure visits. We do not use advertising or marketing cookies. You can change your choice at any time via “Manage consent” in the footer.

Pages may include embedded content such as videos. This behaves as if you had visited the other website directly and may set its own cookies and collect data.
5. Who we share your data with
We never sell your personal data. We share it only with providers who help us run the site and our services, under written agreements: our website hosting provider and Microsoft (Outlook email). We may also disclose data where the law requires it.
6. International transfers
We also serve schools in Jamaica. If your data is sent or accessed outside the UK, we use safeguards recognised under UK law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or an adequacy decision.
7. How long we keep your data
Enquiry and booking messages are kept for up to 24 months after our last contact, then deleted. Invoices and financial records are kept for 6 years, as HMRC requires. Matomo data is kept only in anonymised form.
8. Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or stop our use of it, or send it to you in a portable format. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email computourz@outlook.com; we will respond within one month.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures, including HTTPS, access controls and keeping our software updated, to protect your data.
10. Complaints
