About me
20 years in the secondary classroom. Now I bring that experience to schools in Jamaica, remotely, as a consultant.
I’ve spent over 20 years teaching Computing, ICT, and Business in secondary schools in the UK. I’m currently a Head of Computer Science.
That time has meant building departments from the ground up. I’ve written schemes of work, moved teaching from slide decks to different online media so students can access work from home, developed curriculum policy, and trained colleagues on new specifications. I’ve also worked closely with senior leadership on curriculum strategy, budgets, and school-wide initiatives around literacy, AI, and student wellbeing.
CompuTourz grew out of that experience. I work with schools in Jamaica remotely by video call and email, so I know what’s realistic for a school to take on given time, budgets, and connectivity — not just what looks good on paper.
