The idea behind 2FA
- Factor 1: something you know. — your password.
- Factor 2: something you have — your phone, an app, or a code.
- An attacker who steals your password still can’t log in without the second factor.
- Turn on 2FA wherever it’s offered — email, social media, school accounts.
