Setting Up Your Child’s Phone or Tablet

Choose a device below for step-by-step instructions: a screen lock, parental controls, and location tracking.

Before you start: setting up parental controls will ask you to create a separate Screen Time or supervision passcode. Keep this different from the device’s own screen lock, and don’t share it with your child — otherwise they can switch off the very features you’ve just turned on.
