Every single one of these actually reveals something — that’s the point. On their own, small details seem harmless. Put together, they can be enough for a stranger to work out where Jamie lives, which school they go to, and when they’re likely to be home alone.
Think about your own accounts
- Could a stranger piece together where you live or go to school from what you’ve posted?
- Turn off location tagging on posts and photos.
- Be careful with photos that show street signs, house numbers, school badges, or uniforms.
- Avoid posting about being home alone or your daily routine.
- Limit who can see your posts to people you actually know.
